RACE 1 - Tricky race to kick us off with many of these babies facing the starter for the first time. Of the raced brigade KING OF GERALDINE (1) is the only winner in the field getting the job done at Dalby last time out and will have derived a stack of confidence from that victory. Has also placed over this track and trip and only needs some luck from the wide draw to be playing a role in the finish. SHEMAKESMENERVOUS (6) is another first-up but showed enough when last in work to warrant consideration in a race like this. Keep safe. BEFORE ANYONE ELSE (13) was well in the betting on debut and where there's smoke there's fire. In the mix. SPOILT ROTTEN (3) next best from the favourable draw.
RACE 2 - ACAPULCO GIRL (5) just ran into one better over this course and distance on debut before being tipped out for time to furnish. Tuned up for this with a recent trial placing and gets Maloney on board from the favourable draw. Ticks a few boxes. The well-related IKUMA (9) (full to G3 winner I Am Immortal) is a former NSW galloper who should find this easier than what she faced down south. Respect the reliable Gollan/Jones combination. FRATIANNO (7) has had a few chances but will be rock-hard fit for this and rates a genuine top-three conveyance on best form. LOPE BY NIGHT (4) only went down by narrow margin last time out and looks to be improving with racing. In the mix. WANTCHOO (13) rounds out the selections.
RACE 3 - Former NSW galloper GOLD DUST (6) is having her first run for the new stable but should find this easier than what she faced down south. Drawn perfectly in gate two and revved up for this with a recent trial placing. Can return a winner. MACONDA (9) got the maiden out of the way two back before just running into one better at the Gold Coast last time out. Hard to knock fillies in form. YES TO EXCESS (2) is a two-time winner over this track and trip, draws the inside marble and gets 3kg off with the claim. Ticks a few boxes. KWIK AZ HELL (7) saves her best form for this six-furlong journey and must be included in calculations.
RACE 4 - WINDOW TAPPER (8) grows a leg for hoop Lang who has two wins and a placing from just three steers. Draws the inside alley and can bring up the hat-trick here. MATERIALIST (7) resumes but the form she showed when last in work was good enough for a race of this calibre. Can feature while fresh. INDAZA (6) best of the rest with the Gollan/Maloney combination. BOOGA RAY (11) turned her form around at Dalby last start. Track and distance winner and holds each way appeal.
RACE 5 - CHAKRA BOY (4) has a handy record over this course and distance with two wins and four placings from just seven outings and gets plenty of weight relief with the 3kg claim. Expecting a strong first-up performance. The penny has dropped for ENUFF PILLS (9) who has strung four wins together on the bounce and is racing with a lot of confidence. Hard to ignore winning form. PRIDE TO FOLLOW (14) brings NSW formlines to the table and only needs some luck from the wide draw to make her presence felt. RING OF STEEL (5) is a two-time winner around this circuit and is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley. In the mix. UNO MOON (3) goes well for Jones who has three wins from as many rides. Can fill the frame.
RACE 6 - The well-related THIS'LLBETHEONE (1) (half to Listed winner Zouatica) saves his best form for the mile journey with three wins and two seconds from just six attempts. Has to be included. TYNDRUM GOLD (8) was a touch disappointing at the latest effort but go on the strong win over this course and distance two back. Worth another chance. RUSSIAN RONI (7) and SIZZLING GAL (9) both drop in grade from their latest outings.
RACE 7 - EASTOWN (3) is an honest commodity who has hit the frame in all four runs around this circuit and is drawn favourably in gate one. Will run his usual honest race. HOLLYWOOD EPIC (4) is one from one here and gets 3kg off with the claim. Top-three credentials. AIRSWING (7) has some upside about him. Drops in grade on latest outing and won nicely fresh at Grafton. ARATIRI (14) was performing well at this course prior to a freshen up. Safely held off a freshen up at Doomben last start however better suited up to this trip.
RACE 8 - ROSE NOIR (8) goes well for Jones who has a win and three placings from seven rides and will be high on confidence following that last-start victory. Up to the challenge. Former Godolphin galloper RESTONICA (1) will strip fitter with that first-up run out of the way and draws favourably in gate three. Expected to run well. PUNGO (2) is a bit hit or miss but is more than capable on his day. Keep in calculations. PINK THUNDER (7) best of the rest while fresh.
