RACE 1 - LOCKYER (18) gets into the field and is well placed in this contest. Third-up today and didn't appreciate the deep track at Ipswich last time. The well-bred colt has placed in a Doomben trial since, and Maloney stays aboard. He's raced well in better company, and it's hard to risk the Gollan yard. CRASH THE PARTY (7) was beaten 2L at the Sunshine Coast on debut. She will have taken plenty of improvement, and Lloyd sticks. She should be right in it. CARAMELFUDGESUNDAE (13) was beaten less than 2L at the Sunshine Coast on debut. Present fitter and draws an inside gate. She's likely to be just as capable on firm ground, and Craig Williams is a key jockey switch replacing the 2kg apprentice. SPOT THE AUSSIE (3) debuts for the Vandyke yard, and that demands attention. Has a wide barrier but deserves a close betting watch. READY FOR AIMEE (12) debuts for the Gollan yard, drawn low. She's likely to be better than the trial finishes suggest.

RACE 2 - Vandyke-trained LUCIFER'S WAY (4) won four trials before his narrow defeat at the Sunshine Coast on debut. He was backed off the map and will have taken fitness and learning. Draws the inside gate and has a key jockey switch to Maloney. He can go one better in the longer sprint. CLIODHNA MAEVE (6) improved sharply on a good track first up, beaten a nose at Doomben. She races forward, and Jones stays aboard. Just has to hold the form to go close. GAGNANTE ENCHERE (10) resumes and was heavily bet at the Sunshine Coast at her last three outings. She owns a big trial win and performs fresh. She will push forward and has the ability. VALENCIA ROC (12) resumes and showed enough in town in her initial preparation to be considered.

RACE 3 - Tricky. WILIAMTHECONQUEROR (7) resumes and was last seen at the races beaten 1L at the Sunshine Coast on debut. She missed 0.5L in a recent trial here and will jump from an inside gate. She won't have to be much improved to go close. CHIEF IN CHARGE (4) resumes and two-back was beaten just 1.2L at Eagle Farm (heavy track). He was expected to win on a firm deck at the Sunshine Coast following, but didn't have much luck. Has to be respected despite the time away. TEN GOOD REASONS (5) resumes gelded and owns a trial win. Rodd has been with her all along, and his nose defeat at Ipswich two-back is the measure of his ability. SCHEHERAZADE (11) has improved both starts since her switch from a NSW stable and is ready to win. She has to overcome a wide barrier, but rates well, and Craig Williams is a key jockey switch. RUNAWAY TYCOON (17) peaks off three placed efforts, the latest here when she was claimed late. She's drawn for a soft-on pace run and will get every chance.

RACE 4 - NOVEMBER SUN (13) resumed with a narrow defeat here, and it was an impressive effort after settling rearward from a wide barrier. She sits at the bottom of the weights, and Craig Williams' engagement suggests she's pleasing. She can go one better. MARAGICAL (5) has been racing in rich qualities. He was narrowly beaten at long odds at Eagle Farm last time, and that stacks right up. Has a low gate and Lang's claim, and it's hard to risk the Gollan yard. MAYNE (2) is also in good metro hands, and found more like his best winning this grade on the Gold Coast poly, as expected. He has a handy 2kg claim, and back to the turf won't bother. Fitter again and his best would have him right in it. PROMINENT LAD (6) is a promising galloper from the Vandyke yard, and he didn't have the best of it here first-up. Has Maloney aboard today and a low barrier, and he won at Eagle Farm at his only second-up outing. CAISHEN (8) won an Ipswich Maiden on debut with a bit in reserve. Keep onside.

RACE 5 - Archibald-trained METCALFE (12) is third-up and ready to fire at the each-way quote. Stepped up to 1800m last time, and he's been tried in stronger races. Tumbles in weight, and that brings him right into it. JEALOUS (4) was expected to win here two weeks ago over a mile, and things didn't work out. She's suited to middle distances and would have these covered at best. Craig Williams sticks aboard, and she just needs average luck in the run. FIRE AND LIGHT (10) just missed this track and trip in a CL1 and also has plenty of weight relief. He may sit closer today from an inside barrier and is on a 7-day return. He can improve again and has claims. FIRST INNINGS (2) missed 1L at the Gold Coast in tougher grade, sharply improved. Jumps from the outside gate, but will hit the line.

RACE 6 - NEW JOY (2) is a leader who spiked her figures again, delivering the hat-trick here over is distance. She jumps from an inside gate and keeps the handy 2kg claim. She'll present at peak fitness and can keep the ball rolling. POSEIDON RULER (9) missed a whisker over 1350m on the same day, and it was an impressive effort. He was beaten 2L at Eagle Farm last time he tackled a mile and has weight relief at this level. With average luck he will be right in it. MISS CHENERY (11) brings solid efforts to peak and also drops in weight. Found New Joy and one other too good last time, but she's likely to get closer today. CHAYSE 'N' ARTIE (1) resumed here in a CL5 with a 1.8L defeat. The step up to the mile will suit, and the 3kg claim brings him into the mix.

RACE 7 - Vandyke-trained TUFF TU MUS (7) resumed and made it four victories on the trot, winning a CL3 at Eagle Farm. He's won a Deagon trial since, and Maloney rides for the first time, in a key jockey switch. Goes wet and dry and is ready to take the next step. HEMAN (13) impressed winning a CL1 here and resumed at the track when narrowly beaten in a CL5. Stays down in the weights, and Craig Williams stays aboard. Has the inside gate and stripping fitter rates to go close. OCTOBER (5) is a former HK galloper who resumed for the new barn with a nose defeat in an Eagle Farm CL4. He is improved and has been kept up to the mark with a trial here. Has Lang's small claim and is in the mix. SAILOR'S SECRET (9) brings a narrow defeat from Ipswich in Open grade. Raced favourite and ran a decent number. Not badly placed and keep onside.

RACE 8 - MISS BUSSLINGER (1) is a Listed and Group performer who won't know herself in a CL1. Disappointed at the Gold Coast last time but prepared to forgive. He has a handy 3kg claim and three back was beaten 1L in the Daybreak Lover at Eagle Farm. That's compelling form, and he's likely to push forward. NOBLE DECREE (4) missed a nose at the Sunshine Coast at this level when expected to win. Peaks now, and Craig Williams is engaged. Draws an inside barrier and will get every chance to go one better. Feared. CELESTIAL BLAZE (5) was a run short first-up in a CL2 and is a second-up winner with more to give. Has Jones aboard today and is likely to skip across and lead. He will give a sight. First emergency WORTHY ENUFF (18) gets into the field and wasn't beaten far here last time in an Open 2. Has an awkward gate to manage, but the 2kg claim assists. He's showing enough promise to consider.
