RACE 1 - Definitely a handful of chances at the top end, before this one falls right away. DAWN EMBERS (8) should slot in very nicely today, after storming home into second at Mackay resuming. Reckon he can go one better than that today. VILLANDRY (3) almost pinched it resuming, then just got too far back in harder last time in. Worth another chance. SCOTTVILLE SCOOTER (14) brings some Sunshine Coast form into this, and that should stack right up in this field. WARHOL (11) wasn't too far away in a bunched finish at Mackay last time and warrants respect. LONHANOVA (5) definitely worth including in multiples off a freshen up, and he should be breaking through up here soon enough.

RACE 2 - ICONIC PRINCE (4) did the job resuming last start, and looks capable of progressing through his grades this preparation. Happy to stick with him here. HEY JEALOUSY (11) seems to be going well enough this campaign, and finds herself in another suitable race today. Stick with. THE DARK SIDE (5) is worth keeping safe resuming. He'll take improvement from whatever unfolds today, but brings a class edge and might just prove too good even if this is short of his preferred trip. GILBERT'S GOLD (2) was only 2 lengths away last time and looks ready to fire here third-up. BULL DIMPLE RUM (7) comes into this second-up off a resuming win and could bob up without surprising.

RACE 3 - One of the features on the card. KAI MONDO (4) was far too good on the heavy surface at this track last time out when favourite, and shapes as a serious commodity again today. ASK ME MATE (3) won well last time and looks right on the money third-up. Must be considered. ASTRA STAR (1) has been kept fresh for five weeks coming into this off a neat win at Townsville last time, and boasts strong claims. ELECTRIC BRAE (8) needs to find a few lengths on the top pick but can do just that which puts her in the mix. LONHY'S FABRE (5) was only 0.6 len off Astra Star five weeks ago and shouldn't be overlooked.

RACE 4 - More than happy to stay in the corner of OUR TURN NOW (1), who only missed a head at the Sunshine Coast latest. That followed another near miss at Townsville in tougher the start prior. Can win this. MAGIC GAME (7) wasn't far away in a tough race at Mackay last time and looks well placed today. WHATJEUDOIN' (8) just didn't come on last time at Ipswich, but looked pretty good prior to that and deserves another chance. YUKANUMA (3) is in great form having won by three months in an easier affair at Mackay last time. Should measure right up in tougher here. REPLACE THE ACE (4) looks next best in a decent race.

RACE 5 - No shortage of genuine hopes in this race. NICKELBACK (9) surged home in the latest to run third at Mackay and will be well suited by the longer straight today. Respect. LOOSE UNIT (8) has ability and has been kept on the fresh side after being beaten 4 lengths in the latest at this track. Rates as one of the main hopes. EXECUTIVE STRESS (1) was a bit off his best last time after winning three in a row, and can bounce right back today. THE LAST SAGA (11) ran a very nice race here two back and has to be respected on that form. PAPASITO (3) should go forward and be in this for a long way. ULTIMATE OUTCOME (6) and SIAN STAR (7) can also be added to the long list of chances.

RACE 6 - Go wide in the quaddie. TRACK TALE (7) won well in similar at Mackay last time in and has found a rich vein of form. Takes plenty of beating today as well. MASTER SHOWMAN (1) drops back into this after not at all being disgraced in Listed grade at Doomben. Classy enough to notch a win. CHERRY ROSE (9) is another one dropping back into something easier, and rates well enough to play a significant role. EARLY FUSION (8) won as an odds-on pop last time in at Mackay, and while this is harder, he must be considered chasing a sixth-straight triumph. DEMON AWARD (5) was runner-up at the Sunshine Coast last time on rain-affected going and jumps as one of the each-way chances today.

RACE 7 - Toughest proposition of the day. Have landed on PIPISTRELLE (11) who lugged the big weight to an impressive win last time at Mackay. She gets significant relief up in grade today and might well be off and gone at the furlong marker. ELLA TE AMA (2) ran a very impressive race two back to thrash them at Toowoomba before a dip in form at the latest. Worth another chance. DIVINE PURPOSE (13) was sound enough at Eagle Farm resuming and can improve second-up. Must be considered. SIR GRACE (7) rattled off a string of wins at the end of last prep and can keep that sequence going if he's come back at his best. LOGAN STREET LION (1) has built into this nicely and deserves respect third-up. The chances don't end there.

RACE 8 - Another tricky race to bring things to a close. DEVIL DEVIL (6) won last time at this track on rain-affected going and finds a similar assignment today. No reason to jump off. UNIVERSAL HARMONY (10) was only just nosed out of it last time at Mackay and should be in this when the whips are cracking once again. CUMIN SPINNER (14) did enough resuming to suggest she could be winning today second-up. DAIMYO (1) carried a big weight to victory at Mackay last time and is going well enough to give this one a shake. CANNY BE BETTER (5) ran second to Daimyo at the latest, only beaten a head, and could turn the tables here which would put him right into contention.
