RACE 1 - SOUTHERN CHARM (4) started at cricket score odds last time out but ran well above expectations just missing the placings at Listed level. Winning rider Huxtable reunites in the saddle and should find this assignment a touch easier. Is one from one over this track and trip and will be right there at the business end. RUNWITHTHETIDE (2) returned in good order with a handy second at Doomben and has a solid second-up record with a win and two placings from four attempts. Gets some weight relief with the 1.5kg claim and looms as the main danger. PRE EMINENCE (1) saves his best form for this six-furlong journey with two wins and three seconds from just six starts. Another to get some weight off and rates a genuine top-three contender. ESTRONDO (5) is a bit hit or miss but is more than capable enough on his day. Include in calculations.

RACE 2 - BOYS NIGHT OUT (9) got a well-deserved victory in a Rosehill Highway at the latest effort and couldn't have been more impressive, saluting by over three lengths. Will be high on confidence following that dominant win and should be cherry-ripe now fifth run back. Has the ability to feature prominently again. HEMAN (11) is knocking on the door of another win with consecutive runner-up finishes to start the campaign. Drawn to get a cosy run in transit from gate two and can go one better against this lot. QUOTHQUAN (14) loves it here around the Ipswich circuit with two wins and a placing from just three spins. Shouldn't be underestimated. SMART AS SMART (16) is a consistent conveyance who has hit the top five at his past eight outings. One for the exotics players.

RACE 3 - BESTOWER (2) has been well in the market at the past three outings and where there's smoke there's fire. Just ran into one better at the latest effort and Mallyon stays on top here. Looks to be working up to another victory and should be going very close over this longer journey. AROUND THE BUOY (8) has put back-to-back wins together here around this circuit and is racing with a lot of confidence of late. Maps well from gate three and is good enough to play a major role in the finish. FARWEST (10) is a consistent commodity who doesn't know how to run a bad race. Has to be included despite the wide draw. THE RIGHT WAY (1) has won two from four around this circuit and is usually thereabouts. Among the leading hopes. THEBARBEROFSEVILLE (9) was a touch disappointing last time out but the form prior was full of merit. Worth another chance.

RACE 4 - SLIPPIN' JIMMY (4) was a touch plain in the run before the spell but had won five of six prior to that failure. Has won when fresh before, draws low and gets 2kg off with the claim. Ticks a few boxes and is capable of a strong first-up showing. TALTARNI FIELDS (5) has gone bang-bang to start the preparation and winning rider Sutherland sticks in the saddle. Again gets the benefit of his claim and is sure to prove tough to hold out again. ENTERPRISE LUCIA (9) has hit the top-four in all five starts this time in work and handles all going. Top-three aspirations. BRERETON (2) is a two-time winner over this distance range and must be respected from the Gollan barn. Can trouble the judge with any luck from the wide draw. END ASSEMBLY (8) best of the rest while fresh.

RACE 5 - REDFORD (5) didn't measure up in Listed company when resuming before making up a stack of ground at Eagle Farm at the latest effort. Has a solid record over this journey with three wins and two placings from seven starts and will be ready to go third-up from the break. Should be right there when the whips are cracking. CASTILLIAN (11) got an overdue victory at Doomben last time out and will have derived a bunch of confidence from that win. Gets the reliable Gollan/Jones combination and only needs some luck navigating from the sticky draw to earn a lion's share of the prize money. BETTCHA THE CROWN (1) saves his best form for this trip and gets plenty of weight relief with the 3kg claim. In the mix on best form. DEEP RESPECT (9) rounds out the selections in an open affair.

RACE 6 - STAY FOCUSED (1) was a touch disappointing at Group 3 level when resuming but the two wins to close out the previous preparation were good enough to feature in a race of this nature. Will find this assignment easier and should be able to head them up from the wide draw. Sure to give backers a sight. MISTER BIANCO (4) has a handy record over this track and trip with a win and a second from just two attempts. Kept ticking over for this with a recent Gold Coast trial win and should be right there when the judge calls a halt. TUNED (2) has a duck egg next to his name but was only beaten less than three lengths in Group 3 company last time out. The form prior was very consistent and can bounce right back here. LUTETIA (14) will be at peak fitness for this and must be respected from the Lees camp. Keep safe. THE THREE HUNDRED (7) has two wins and two placings from five attempts at the trip and may earn some minor money.

RACE 7 - The $250,000 Listed Ipswich Cup. MISS JOELENE (1) didn't handle Group 1 company in the Doomben Cup two back before making up steady ground over the shorter journey at the latest effort. Has placed two from two over this longer trip and will be rock-hard fit for this. Well suited in the grade and is sure to run well. OSMOSE (4) has been right there in both runs this campaign and looks to be working up to another victory. Has the ability to play a big role in the outcome. DIABLO BOLT (8) is improving with racing this time in and will appreciate the step-up in trip third-up. Gets Melbourne Cup winning hoop Dolan in the irons and rates a genuine contender. BROOKHAVEN (2) strips fitter now and can fill the frame with any luck in running. The well-related WARP SPEED (7) (half to AJC Derby winner Nom Du Jeu) best of the rest in a competitive contest.

RACE 8 - The $200,000 Listed Eye Liner Stakes. WARNIE (2) just missed the placings in the Takeover Target when resuming before hitting the line nicely in the Moreton Cup last time out. Will strip fitter third-up from the spell, draws favourably here and should appreciate the step-up to the 1350m trip now. Looks the one they all have to run down. ROCKRIBBED (1) goes well for hoop Lang who has three wins and three placings from just seven steers. Pay to forgive the last-start failure and can feature if he brings his A-game. XIDAKI (3) saves his best form for this journey with two wins and two seconds from five attempts. Respect from the Snowden camp. OUGHTON (6) is one from one over this course and distance and will be ready to peak now third run in. In the mix on best form.

RACE 9 - The $160,000 Listed Gai Waterhouse Classic closes out the card. The hall of fame trainer is trying to win her namesake race here with GERRINGONG (16). She has just run into one better in both starts this campaign and will be ready to peak now third time in. Looks the runner in this field with the most upside and is sure to give this a mighty shake. KAZOU (3) loves this six-furlong journey with five wins and a placing from just seven attempts. Is a second-up winner in the past and has saluted on all going. Right in this contest. KIN (4) has been in the mix in all three runs this preparation and will get a gun run for Jones from gate two. Top-three contender. BUBBA'S BAY (1) ran a better race last start and should be ready now third-up. Include in calculations.
