RACE 1 - The maiden stayers kick us off. ORMOND ROAD (1) has hit the top-five in all five starts this preparation and looks to be working up to a maiden victory. Hit the frame in town last time out and will find this assignment much easier. Gets some weight off with the claim and rates the testing material. PREFER TO DANCE (5) has been thereabouts in recent efforts and strikes a very winnable contest here. Looms as the main danger. PIERANT (4) has been a touch disappointing at the past couple but the form prior was good enough for a race like this. Respect from the Archibald camp. SAVEA (2) is drawn to get a cosy run in transit from gate two and will be rock-hard fit for this. May earn some minor money.

RACE 2 - CUDDLES FOR KIMMY (1) has a handy record over this sprint trip with a win and two seconds from just four attempts and has handled all going in the past. Gets 1.5kg off with the claim and shapes as a leading contender. SCRIPTUS VIVACE (4) looked good saluting on debut before being tipped out for time to furnish. Was a touch plain first-up but will have derived a stack of benefit from that hit-out. Can bounce right back to form. MISHANI QUEST (6) will be ready to peak now third-up from the break and gets in well at the weights with the claim. Top-three credentials. DESTINYS PINNACLE (7) is drawn to get all the favours from the inside alley and may trouble the judge with the right run. DECEITFUL MISS (5) should be able to sit up on the speed and will give backers a sight.

RACE 3 - SHINING PROISIR (3) may have suffered from the dreaded second-up syndrome at the latest effort but go on the solid second at Toowoomba to commence the career. Looks ready for the seven-furlong journey now and can bounce right back to form. Former NSW galloper ATLAS JOHN (6) was okay in his first run for the new stable and will have come on with that run now in the locker. Only needs some luck from the sticky draw to be playing a major role in the outcome. LINTHORPE LUCK (5) was well in the betting when facing the starter for the first time and wasn't too far off them. Where there's smoke there's fire and can trouble the judge. BUSH WOOKIE (1) is at the races for the first time but won't need to be a superstar to be competitive against this lot. Respect any market confidence. PROPONENT (7) best of the rest at odds.

RACE 4 - The consistent PALEFACE RINGO (6) has only missed a drum once in seven career outings and that was a close-up fourth before the spell. Revved up for this with two recent trials and looks the runner in this field with the most upside. A strong showing while fresh would not surprise. BOLD AND SMOOTH (3) is knocking on the door of another victory finishing runner-up in three of her past four starts. Is a three-time winner over this trip, draws low and gets 2kg off with the claim. Ticks a few boxes. MACHINE HEAD (7) has placed two from two over this course and distance and strips fitter third-up from the break. In the mix. CHARMED PASSAGE (5) has hit the top-four in seven of his past eight starts and is a must for the multiples. MR WANDJI (1) next best from the inside alley.

RACE 5 - BRAVE COWBOY BILL (5) finally broke the maiden status at the latest Kilcoy outing and will have derived a stack of confidence from that breakthrough victory. Winning hoop Sheargold sticks in the irons and should be going very close again. CHANGE THE DEEL (1) resumes here for the new stable but will find this easier than what he was facing last campaign. Has a handy first-up record and draws perfectly in gate three. Definite top-three contender. DOUBLESHARKATTACK (15) has been thereabouts in all five runs this preparation and will be at peak fitness for this. Best form puts her right in this contest. QUARTER RED (8) is yet to miss a drum in four starts around this circuit and has been racing in a purple patch of form of late. Has to be included. STEP ON FIRE (13) best of the rest in an open affair.

RACE 6 - Former Victorian HIGH SECURITY (2) has been thereabouts in all four runs since joining the new yard and should find this task more to his liking. Will be cherry-ripe now and looks very hard to toss in this suitable contest. STEP ON FIRE (5) put in an improved performance when a close-up second last time out and is drawn to get a soft run in transit from gate three. Nicely placed to play a pivotal role. GLENRAY'S MATE (4) has been a touch disappointing at the past couple but the form prior was good enough for a race of this nature. Can bounce right back against this line-up. GREAT ANGLES (10) is a consistent commodity who has hit the top-five in all nine career outings to date. One for the exotics players. FENDBAR (8) goes well for rider Fazackerley and can fill the frame with luck from the sticky draw.

RACE 7 - CRYPT DE PIN (6) saves her best form for this seven-furlong journey with a win and four placings from nine attempts and will be rock-hard fit for this. Gets some weight off from the favourable draw and is a likely contender with strong prospects. Former NSW galloper INVADER'S GIRL (7) got the maiden out of the way in the first run for the new barn and winning jockey Carter is back in the saddle. Again gets the benefit of her claim and can make it back-to-back victories to start the campaign. BETTER STRINGS (12) is a two-time winner over this trip and will strip fitter second-up from the spell. Top-three contender on best form. MISTER SELFIE (1) has placed two from two around this circuit and will be hitting the line with gusto. DOITLIKEMAXWELL (4) is a last-start winner who shouldn't be slept on.

RACE 8 - MISHANI GANGSTER (3) hasn't been too far away at the past couple and should find this task a touch easier. Gets some weight relief with the 2kg claim and maps well from gate five. Sure to be right there when the judge calls a halt. QUEST OF QUESTS (11) has a solid record over this distance range with two wins and four seconds from ten starts. Can play a major role in the finish. HOTFOOT PERFORMER (5) loves it here on his home surface with two wins and four placings from just eight spins. Capable of another strong showing. BOLD HUSSAR (15) just ran into one better at Ipswich when resuming and will have come on with that run now under the belt. Cannot be discounted. The penny has dropped for BEST COFFEE (12) who has put back-to-back wins together. In the mix.
